A son of Ivarr, probably Guthorm (Moncreiffe, lining papers).
One of the Danish invaders who conquered Mercia, 871, and waged war with Alfred. Became a Christian after the battle of Ethandun, and by the treaty of Wedmore, 878, was given East-Anglia (including Essex and London) as his share of the Danish kingdom.
