Grant Edgar Brown of Eagar died March 16, 2008, at the age of 82. He passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Eagar Dec. 30, 1925. Grant taught Industrial Arts at Round Valley High School, from which he retired in 1983. He continued to educate and entertain the students of Round Valley as a substitute teacher up until December 2007.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for which he was able to serve three missions. He also served as the bishop of the Eagar 2nd Ward, as well as in many other positions. He enjoyed serving as a temple worker in the Mesa Arizona and Snowflake Arizona temples.

Grant was a wonderful, loving husband, father and grandfather. He leaves behind a large and loving posterity of 103 descendants.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Innis Boren Brown; his children, Danny (Fonda) of Eagar, James (Rayanne) of Eagar, David (Ruthann) of Eagar, Lenn (Leisha) of Mesa, Nanette (Wade) Finch of Eagar, Shelly of Chandler, Steven (Kelli) of Eagar and Shannon (Gordon) Bueler of Chandler; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother.

A viewing was held Wednesday, March 19, at Burnham Mortuary, 535 N. Main St. in Eagar and before the services Thursday.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20, at the LDS Amity Ward building on School Bus Road in Eagar.
