Article from Elko (Colorado) Free Press, 11/1/1907:

Three sacks of ore that goes $25,000

Dr. Dunscomb of Tuscarora tells of the wonderful richness of Gold Circle.

Dr. E. Dunscomb of Tuscarora was in town last week attending to business matters. The doctor is part owner in twelve claims in the famous Gold Circle district and believes that it will be one of the best claims in the state next year. In speaking with a Free Press reporter he said:

"We anticipate a great rush to this camp next spring and believe that it is going to make one of the best camps in the state. Arrangements have been made to establish an auto line from Golconda, a store and a saloon have been opened and the owners of the strike property have purchased a five stamp mill that is on the road and will be installed this fall.
"There is no doubt about the richness of the ore. Three sacks shipped to San Francisco netted returns of nearly $25,000. This was taken from an eight inch streak near the hanging wall of the strike property. But there a (sic) ten foot ledge of low grade that is all free milling.
"A town site has been laid out and lots are selling for $100 to $250.
"Application has been made for a post office and the mail will be handled by way of Elko and Tuscarora."
