"Howard P. Edwards died in Detroit, Mich., last week Thursday afternoon of typhoid fever and complications. Deceased was a son of George and Nettie Edwards and was born in Canfield October 19, 1885, consequently was in the 30th year of his age. His early life was spent in Canfield and after completing the work of the local schools attended the Michigan State university at Ann Arbor, Mich. Soon after graduation he entered the engineering department of the Ford Automobile Co. where he was a valued employee when stricken with his last illness. He was an exemplary young man, held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. His remains, accompanied by his mother and close friend, Mr. Joseph, arrived here Friday evening and were taken to the old home on West Main street. He is survived by his mother, one sister, Miss Mary, of Los Angeles, Cal., and one brother, C. H. Edwards of Washington, D. C. The funeral was held from the family residence Monday afternoon, Rev. T. L. Kiernan, pastor of the Presbyterian church, conducting the services. The pallbearers were; E. R. Zieger, S. A. Arnold, I. B. Sonnedecker, Phill Wetmore, Herbert Delfs and Mr. Joseph.
