Fenelon B. Brock was born in Maine, the second son of Alvan Dinsmore and Martha Chenery Brock. By 1870 he was living in Washington, DC. and on October 27, 1884, married Lilian Burrit, the daughter of Samuel and Amanda Nichols Burritt.

Fenelon and Lilian had five children - Lilian, Esther, Walter, Marian and Dorothy.

Fenelon attended Georgetown Law School and graduated on June 7, 1897. He was a well known and highly respected patent attorney in Washington, DC, and was himself the owner of several patents.

Fenelon died on September 4, 1933 at his home in Takoma Park, Maryland (findagrave.com)
