Browning's "Americans of royal descent" has Godfrey's birth date as 1/23/1897, as does the Inglis Stuart book, but the Dunscombe bible entry states he was born on a Friday and 1/27/1893 was a Friday. The family bible and Browning both list his name as Godefroi. He lived on a houseboat on the St. Lucie River in Florida. Never married.

Stuart Florida. June 5- 1916- 11 A.M. Dear Godfroi passed from us to his saviour and his mother- June 6- 1916- We laid my dear brave "little man" at rest beside his mother in Waveland Cemetery.
