Funeral services at Bedford Street Methodist Episcopal Church, Bedford st., corner of Morton st., Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Relatives, friends, members and ex-members of school trustees Ninth Ward are respectfully invited. Friends are requested to omit flowers.

THE FUNERAL OF CHARLES S. WRIGHT
The funeral of Charles S. Wright, whose death occurred at his home in West Fourth st. on Sunday, was held at the Bedford Street Methodist Church yesterday afternoon. The funeral sermon was delivered by the pastor, the Rev. Dr. John E. Cookman, who reviewed the life of Mr. Wright from his birth, on April 24, 1800, in what was then known as Greenwich Village. Mr. Wright had been a member of the Ninth Ward board of school trustees for thirty-six years, and was an ardent laborer in the cause of education from the infancy of the common schools. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church for sixty-eight years, having joined that body before he was twenty years old.
All the trustees and many of the ex-trustees of the school board of the Ninth Ward were present, as were also the principals and many of the teachers. Many school children were also in the audience. among the trustees and others present were Dr. E. Dannison, Colonel E.M.L. Ehlers, Emigration Commissioner George Starr, William H. Ely, John Scully, E.J. Tynsdale, Charles Benedict, Henry Dayton, James A. Seaman, Howard Cargill, J. Whiteside, John Laird an Miss Williams. The burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery to-day.
