US Senator. He served during the Revolutionary War as a Captain in the Vermont Militia. He twice was elected as a Senator from Vermont to the United States Senate, serving first from 1791 to 1795, then from 1801 to 1813 (his second election was facilitated by the resignation of Senator Elijah Paine). He twice served as President Pro Tempore of the Senate during his terms in office. His son, William Czar Bradley, serving as a United States Congressman.
