Mary Lou Holman Grade Emery, 91, of La Pine, Oregon, formerly of Oxford Kansas, passed away, Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Prairie House Nursing Home of La Pine, Oregon.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, October 2nd at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford. Visitation will at Oxford Funeral Service from 6-8 P.M. A memorial has been established in Mary's name with the Alzheimer's Association. Memorials may be left in care of the funeral home.
Mary Lou was born on October 18, 192,1 the daughter of Frank and Lona Still Payton. She was born in Coaldale, Alberta, Canada and graduated from the Arkansas City High school in 1939. She was united in marriage to her first husband Harold Holman in 1941. Mary was a legal assistant for years at the county court house. A most of her time was devoted to being a homemaker for her family. Harold preceded her in death in 1969. A few years later in 1971, she was united in marriage to Norris Grade. Norris passed away in 1989. Mary and Maurice Emery were united in marriage in 1992 in Nevada. She enjoyed playing the organ for her church and family and loved being a mother and a grandmother.
She is survived by her husband; Maurice Emery of La Pine Oregon: Son; Harold Allen Holman of Surprise, Arizona: Daughter; Lona Marie Thone of Florence Oregon; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Holman and Norris Grade: daughter Louise Tarver; brother Worth Payton.
