Louise never married.
After Louise's mother died in 1862 Her mother's sister Hattie rasied Louise and her brother Albert. Louise had an early love for New York City, and as she grew older roles reversed as she cared for her Aunt hattie, who had raised her. Louise loved to travel and ventured on several long trips with her cousins. When Louise was 60, Louise traveled to Italy alone and stayed for months. In 1899 after her father's death Louise sold the old home in New York City and moved to New Haven, CT. Louise died suddenly one morning as she was preparing for her daily walk. She is buried in the Bacon Family plot in the New Haven Cemetery.
