HANCOCK – Myra E. Frye, 87, died Aug. 23, 2005, at an Ellsworth healthcare facility. She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Sealevel, N.C., the daughter of Walter and Ida (Moon) Moon. Myra worked as a cook at the Cardinal Lobster Pond for many years. She is survived by three sons, Maurice Artel Moon of Winter Harbor, Everett Frye and wife, Annabella, of Ellsworth, and William Harrison and wife, Wanda Frye, of Franklin; two daughters, Harriet and husband, Loring Carter, of Hancock, and Nancy and husband, Robert Merchant, of Hall Quarry; one brother, George Moon and wife, Doris, of Hancock; two sisters, Carrie and husband, Hank Jordan, of Hancock, and Eleanor and husband, Ziedonis Cakaes, of Brockton, Mass.; 28 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two very special pets, Lacy and Spirit. Myra was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Alvie E. Frye; son, Alvie Frye Jr.; daughter, Leone Lilly; daughters-in-law, Gloria Frye and Deloras Moon; grandson, Walter Moon; and three sisters, Mary Madaline Moon, Ruth Warford and Cecile M. Pond. Graveside memorial services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005, at Eastside Cemetery, Hancock, with the Rev. Richard Rockwell officiating.
