Bob was the son of John L. "Jack" and Emma (Beebe) Conway.
He enlisted in the Army on September of 1946, completing his basic training at Fort Lewis. He then went on to communication school in Seattle, Washington, later being assigned to serve in the Alaska Communication System, Anchorage, Alaska. He returned to Aberdeen after being discharged in October of 1949. He has lived in the Portland area for the past 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Floyd Conway, sister MaryEllen (Conway) Pellervo, and sons Wes and Robert “Rob” Conway.
At the time of his death he was survived by his wife, three brothers, two sisters, five sons, a daughter, 2 step sons and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services were held for family and close friends at the Wishkah Valley Cemetery, 43 W. Wishkah Road, Aberdeen, Wash. on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 11 a.m. with a celebration of life following from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge, 624 K Street, Hoquiam, WA 98550.
