Madison - Mrs. Leone H. Franklin, 66, died Tuesday afternoon at a Skowhegan hospital after a short illness.

She was born Dec. 25, 1899, daughter of John S. and Eda (Campbell) Hayden.

A graduate of Dexter High School in 1917, she married Lee P. Franklin Aug. 4, 1917. After living in Dexter for several years, the Franklins moved here in 1935. She had been a Pythian Sister at Dexter.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Carl R. of Madison and Paul R. of Reading Mass.; three daughters, Mrs. Eda Fortier of Guilford, Mrs. Gloria Carpenter of Norridgewock and Mrs. Jacquelyn McComb of Marblehead, Mass.; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild and several nieces.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Edwards Funeral Home, the Rev. James W. Garner officiating.

Burial will be at the family lot in the West Garland Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 165 Main Street, here Wednesday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m.
