Mr. Richard Ely, Born about 1610 in Hampshire England. Came from Plymouth, England, to Boston, Mass., 1661, with his sons, William & Richard. Afterwards settled in Lyme, Connecticut, & there died November 24, 1684.
Joane, wife of Mr. Richard Ely, died in Plymouth Jan. 7, 1660.
Elizabeth Fenwick, relict of Capt. John Cullick, daughter of George Fenwick of Brinkburn, Northumberland, and Dorathy Foster his wife, born ____, married to Mr. Richard Ely in Boston 1664, died in Lyme Nov. 12, 1683.
Note: the date of birth of Elizabeth Fenwick is about 1624/1625.
The Honorable Richard Ely, Dep. Gov. of the Colony of Conn., married first Joane Phipps in about 1646 in England, and second he married Elizabeth Fenwick in 1664 in Boston, Mass.
