DIED,—Of consumption, at Victor, on the 11th ult. [11 January], Mrs. Belinda Gillis, consort of Mr. S. Gillis, of Clementville, Pennsylvania, and daughter of E. Wilmouth [Ezra Wilmarth], Esq., aged 36. In the death of Mrs. Gilliss, society has lost a faithful friend, her husband an affectionate companion, and six little sons the maternal care of a kind mother.—She bore a long and protracted sickness with a resignation which becometh a believer in that Gospel which abolishes death and brings life and immortality to light. … The high estimation in which she was held, was evinced by the large and respectable congregation who attended, and by the tears that were shed on the gloomy day of her interment.
