"On the night of the 17th inst., ANN KELLOGG, relict of Asa Kellogg, of this city, in the 49th year of her age.
"Having lived the life, she died the death of the righteous. Her illness, which was somewhat protracted, was borne throughout with Christian fortitude ad patience. Her end was anticipated for many hours, both by herself and surrounding friends. She spoke of it intelligently and calmly—expressed her reliance on the Savior, her submission to the will of God, and her readiness to depart—took leave of her weeping children and friends as became a divine Christian—and then departed in peace.—Her many virtues, and exemplary life, as a wife, a mother, a friend, and a follower of Christ, will long lie embalmed in the recollections of those who knew her. Her children have sustained a loss which nothing earthly can repair. But ‘a father of the fatherless is God in his holy habitation.'—In this assurance, may they find consolation and support!
"The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend her funeral, from her late residence, 102 Third street, on Thursday, at 3 o'clock P.M."
"Died." Troy Daily Whig. April 19, 1843: 2 col 6 (findagrave)
