Capt. Reinold Marvin was the son of Reinold & Sarah (Clarke) Marvin and great nephew of my ancestor, MATTHEW MARVIN. He married (1) Phebe Lee, daughter of Lt. Thomas & his second wife, Marah (Mary) DeWolf Lee Griswold, and (2) Martha Waterman on June 30, 1709 in Norwich. He was a rep. to the Gen. Court from 1701 to 1728 and deacon of the First Church of Lyme.
Nicholas Jennings was indicted for witchcraft in "causing the death of the wife of Regnold Marvin and a child of Balthazar de Wolf." I don't know which Regnold Marvin, but if it is this one, it's possible that Mary (Marah) was the wife referred to.
The Ely Ancestry differs with findagrave on the identity of his two wives.
