"First son of John Lee [Sill] of Watervliet, was born 25th March, 1809. He went several voyages to Europe as a mariner. He afterwards became a ship master, sailing on foreign voyages from the port of New York. After a few years his health became impaired and he died, unmarried, at his father's residence at Port Chester, 8th of October, 1850, in the 41st year of his age. Captain Sill's remains were brought to Bethlehem, N.Y., for burial."
