Henry Wells Comings, formerly a well known in River Falls died Monday night, Feb.21st., at his home 1283 County Road, in St. Anthony Park, after an illness of several months with pernicious anemia. His funeral will be held in this city at the Haven home at three o'clock today and the remains will be buried in Greenwood cemetery.
Mr. Comings was born in Duxbury, Vt., August 10th, 1852. His early years were spent on a farm. His father's removal to River Falls in 1865 brought him in early youth into the brisk activities of western life. He remained in River Falls for five years, and then took up newspaper work in the Twin Cities, being connected at different times with the circulation department of the Minneapolis Tribune, the Journal, the St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Dispatch together with several religious papers. He was a member of the Congregational church at St. Anthony Park, - one of its most active and spiritual workers. he was a main highly esteemed by all his aquaintances of high integrity, agreeable personality and cheerful kindness of manner. St Paul - Henry Cummings, formerly of River Falls, is in a sanitarium at Battle Creek, Mich., vey sick and the worst if feared. His wife has also been seriously ill. They have resided in this city for some years. River Falls Journal 11-26-1896

St. Paul Henry Comings is very seriously ill of pernicious anaemia but his Christian faith and experience in the trying hours are marvelous and a lesson to all professing Christians of weaker faith. River Falls Journal 12-2-1897
