Polish Royalty, Queen consort of King Louis XV. of France. She was the only child of Katarzyna Opalinska and her husband Stanislaw Leszczynski who was, for a few years, King of Poland. On September 9. 1725 she married Louis XV. at the Chateau Fontainebleau. She is described to be gentle, modest, good-natured and motherly. She gave birth to 10 children but 3 of them didn't reach adulthood. At the beginning the marriage was happy but the distance between them grew with each year. She suffered quietly while Louis was occupied with his mistresses. When she died she was deeply mourned by her children and grandchildren. Her heart rests in Nancy.
