French Royalty. Marie-Therese-Charlotte was the oldest and only surviving child of Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI. After being released from prison she joined her uncle Louis XVIII in exile and married her cousin Louis-Antoine, duc d'Angouleme in 1799. They lived in Vienna, Russia, and England before returning to France in 1814, when Napoleon abdicated. After an uprising in 1830 when the royal family was betrayed by their cousin, Louis-Philippe, duc d'Orleans, Marie-Therese returned to England with her uncle and husband, once again in exile. When her husband died in 1844, she then moved to Frohsdorf, outside of Vienna, where she lived until her death from pneumonia.
