Abel Ward Rogers, 79, died at his home, 50 Main street, Thursday, Sept. 17, 1953, after a two months illness. He was born in Crystal Valley Sept. 8, 1874 and had lived in the Dundee all his life.
Farming south of Dundee Cole's Corners for many years, lived the past decade in the village where he was associated with the J. C. Bigelow hardware business.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lena Stevens Rogers, whom he married June 28, 1911, in Wellsboro, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Brace of Corning, and Mrs. Charles Hill of Dundee: three cousins and five grandchildren.
