EZRA DALRYMPLE OF PICKERING DIED THIS MORNING
Funeral at 2:30 o'clock Monday Afternoon at M.E. Church
Burial at White Oak

Ezra Dalrymple. Civil War Veteran who had passed his eighty-first birthday on January 13, and was a native of Nodaway county, died about 1 o' clock this morning at St. Francis Hospital where he was taken some time ago. He had resided in Pickering for the past seven years since retiring from the farm near here.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the M.E. Church at Pickering. The Rev. Charles E. Reed will officiate. Burial will be at White Oak Cemetery.
In 1936 Mr. and Mrs. Dalrympe had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

It was on Aug. 22, 1866, the Mr. Dalrymple, an 18-year-old soldier boy who had recently been honorably discharged from the Union army, and Martha Blevins. his 16 year old sweetheart were united in marriage in the eastern part of what is now Nodaway township. Mr. Dalrymple was a native and Mrs. Dalrymple an Indianan by birth.

Besides Mrs. Dalrymple, ten children, six sons and four daughters survive.
