Jeanette Carol Wheeler Stoddard, 76, of Rigby, passed away on March 14, 2017, at her home.
She was born December 19, 1940, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Archie LaVaughn Wheeler and Opal Emily Tanner Wheeler. She attended schools in the area and graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1959.
On May 15, 1986, she married Jay W. Stoddard in Rexburg, Idaho. Jeanette was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was also a talented seamstress and her family and friends benefitted greatly from her talents.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, shopping, and loved animals, especially her dogs.
She is survived by
daughter, Tami Gene Nolte of Draper, Utah
daughter, Terrie Marrie (Scott) Anderson of Lander, Wyoming
son, Robert Paul Rice of Idaho Falls, Idaho
sister, Margaret Poole of Menan, Idaho
7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jay.
A gathering will be held from 1-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls.
