Janeil Gale Larson, 85, our beloved Mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend passed away Monday, March 14, 2016 due to issues incident to her age.

Janeil was born December 14, 1930, in Ogden, Utah to James Parley Gale and Velma Hurst. She grew up in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School class of 1949.

On May 29, 1952 Janeil married William “Bill” Larson. They later divorced.

Janeil resided in Roy, Utah for over 45 years. She retired from the IRS with over 20 years of service; receiving several special achievement awards. As a young mother, she enjoyed many boating and skiing adventures with her family and in her later years she enjoyed traveling with her sons to Hawaii and Washington, DC.

Janeil was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Cedar Crest Ward. She was a devoted long time visiting teacher.

She was an avid gardener, loved reading, watching old movies and enjoyed a good meal out.

Janeil is survived by two sons: Scott Larson and Kenneth Larson, both of Roy; daughter, Susie Jarman, of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren: Jessica, Larry and Jeffrey (Porsche); one great-grandchild, Kristopher; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings: Marva and Verl Gale.

A special thanks to the staff from the Bonneville Dialysis Center and the nurses and doctors from IHC hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
