Leland Howard Morris, 86, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died June 20, 2003 at his home from congestive heart failure. He was born August 23, 1916, in Woodville, near Shelley, Idaho, to Ebenezer William Morris and Elizabeth Risenmay. He attended Shelley schools. He served as a Surgical Technician for the 78th Calvary of the U. S. Army during World War II. He married Lucy Mae Armstrong June 8, 1962, in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Morgan, Utah, for 6 years and in Idaho Falls for twenty years. He worked in farming and for Hill Air Force Base as Machine Shop Foreman. He enjoyed mechanics, gardening, fishing, hunting and building projects.

He was preceded by his parents; brothers Willard Alma, Lavon, Harold George, Delbert Waldo, Melvin Ebenezer, and Edwin; sisters Lucille, Evelyn, Ardis, Gladys, Edith, Sybil and Wilhelmina Mina, and in May 2003, his wife, Lucy Mae Morris. Funeral Services held Wednesday, June 25, 2003, at Idaho Falls 39th Ward, 7940 N 35 West, with Bishop Larry Klingler officiating. Burial in Shelley Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Wood Funeral Home. with Military Rites performed by Bonneville County Veterans Team.
