Ron attended Globe High School and the University of Arizona where he played football. He also enjoyed playing softball, semi-pro baseball, Calf Roping and golf. He retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 518,. He was the instigator in starting the Light Parade in Globe. Ron was a DJ for the schools and for parties. He volunteered at the Globe Senior Citizens Center and had an engraving business on the side. He loved to listen and play music.
Served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy Reserve.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anne and Loren Chesley.
Ronald is survived by his children Derek Chesley (Jennifer) of San Jose, California, Ryan Chesley (Jazmin) ) of las Vegas, Nevada, Melanie Chesley of Chicago, Illinois, his siblings Wayne Chesley (Becky) of Mesa, Dale Chesley (Gloria) of Tucson, Pat Salcido (Roy) of Globe and one grandchild, Benjamin.
A Memorial services will be held at a later date.
His ashes were buried on his father and mother's graves.
