Allen D. Cameron: Henry county probate records (attached) show widow as Mary H. Cameron and living children as Cecil Dwight, Mary Edith, and Arthur W. Cameron. Children listed on back of monument and buried in the same plot are presumed to be the children of Allen and Mary Cameron, who said in 1900 that she had given birth to 6 children, 3 of whom were still living: deceased children Samuel Cameron 1881-82, Malcolm Cameron 1878, and Baby Cameron 1870 (which may be the same as Infant Cameron 1871). These children were probably removals from Oak Grove Cemetery. Allen passed away in 1883 at the age of 52; his widow remarried in 1887 to James W. Phelps and moved to Washington.
(In the past, Allen Cameron's wife has been identified as Julia Cameron 1848-82, #47066070, although she has also been identified as the wife of Adam Cameron. To date, this person has not been found in any record.)
