Isaac Hubbell was born in Huntington, Fairfield County, Connecticut on February 5th, 1782. He was the son of John Hubbell (1751-1822) and Sarah Curtis (died 1841). He was a planter, and died in his native town, February 2d, 1835, regretted by a large circle of friends and relations.
He married Sally (Sarah) Hawkins (1781 - August 19, 1872). They had nine children:
(1) William Morse, born February 11, 1806, married to Laura Blackman, died March 30, 1856.
(2) Caroline, married to Joseph Birdseye.
(3) Lucius, born April 20, 1807.
(4) Marcus, born April 20, 1807, died of hydrophobia, October 14th, 1829.
(5) Sarah Grace - Married to Edward Clarke Johnson, children Frances, Martha Minerva and Mary Jennette.
(6) Francis Burritt, born March 27th, 1814, married to Augusta Church.
(7) Sally Jennette, married Sheldon Tomlinson, daughter Celestia.
(8) Peter, born March 1st, 1822, married Charity Booth.
(9) Minerva, married Wheeler Booth, daughters Fannie J. and Grace.
