HERBERT N. DIMMICK: Herbert N. Dimmick. retired locomotive engineer of Delaware and Hudson Railroad, died at his home, 332 Madison street, city, last night after illness of several months. He was 74. Mr. Dimmick was born at Uniondale, Pa. and had been a resident of this city for 36 years. Prior to his retirement about 18 months ago he was employed for 45 years by the Delaware and Hudson Company. He was widely known among railroad men. Active In fraternal affairs, Mr. Dimmick was a member of Carbondale Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons, Dieu le Veut Commandery and lrem Temple. He was a member or the First Welsh Baptist Church of Edwardsville. Surviving are his widow, Elizabeth; a son, W. Harold Dimmick, Wilkes-Barren three daughters, Mrs. Robert Washburn, at home: Mrs. William Coburn, East Orange, N. J., and Mrs. George Kitchen, Milwaukee, Wis.; a sister, Mrs. Myrtis Reeder, Uniondale; five grandchildren and live great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held from home on Friday afternoon at 1 with services by Rev. Thomas Hughes. Burial will be in Uniondale cemetery.
