Full name: Beira Ann Meridith Garmon Ford

Mrs. Beria [sic] Ann Ford, 70, of RR 2, Box 399, East Moline, died at 4 yesterday afternoon in Lutheran Hospital, where she had been a patient 11 days.

Mrs. Ford, the former Beria Ann Meridith, daughter of Boyd and Nancy Meridith, was born March 5, 1892, in Edmonton, Ky. She was married to Porter Garmon in 1906 in Edmonton, and the couple came to this community in 1957. He died in 1957 [sic]. Her second marriage was to Everette L. Ford on Nov. 8, 1961, in East Moline.

She was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church, Edmonton.

Surviving are the widower; six sons, Clifton Garmon, Rock Island; Gillis and Charles Garm [sic] both of Moline; Dee Garmon, Rockford; Miles A. Garmon, San Diego, Calif., and David Garmon, East Moline; four daughters, Mrs. Velma Frodge [sic], Edmonton; Mrs. Christine Doyle, Buckley; Mrs. Nina Carter, Green Rock, and Mrs. Bernice Jessee, Moline; 42 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and two brothers, John and Oscar, both of Edmonton.

Fours sons and a daughter preceded her in death.

The body will be taken from the Esterdahl Mortuary to Edmonton for services and burial on Saturday. Burial will be in the Beaumont Cemetery, Beaumont, Ky.
