Lucille Sowash was born in Osceola, Iowa on March 26, 1906 to Francis M Sowash and Laura Zarilda Doan. She grew up in Osceola and attended four years of college. She married Dean S Lingle on October 14, 1941, before he was stationed overseas in World War II. She was a homemaker and worked in the Clark County Courthouse for many years in Osceola. After Dean's service, they lived in Creston, Iowa, for the remaining years of their lives. Lucille had a great sense of humor and was an outstanding needlepoint creator, spending many long winter nights producing beautiful works of art. She watched over her mother Laura until her death in 1961. She had one brother, Cliff Sowash who died in 1956. She was a passionate railroad traveler and gardener. A very generous lady who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
