Frieda Horne
Monday, July 24th, 1944 - Wednesday, October 13th, 2021
These were supposed to be her "Golden Years." A time to retire, a time to hunt antique treasures, a time for summer days on the porch of her country home in her beloved Cripple Creek, a time for enjoying friends and family. But sadly there came a time when it was obvious her memory was fading. She had Alzheimer's, and for eight years that horrible disease took more and more of her memory until it finally took her life.
Frieda Davis Horne, 77, of Roanoke, died peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday,
Oct. 13. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marty Horne of Roanoke; a son, Ryan Horne of Roanoke; a daughter Stacy Stiles (Shaun) and granddaughter Davis Stiles, all of Roanoke; brother John Davis (Jane) of Cripple Creek; jsister Dreama Helton (Russell) of Blountville, Tenn.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
