JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. ? Beulah B. Mullins, age 88, formerly of Blountville, died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mrs. Mullins was born in Grundy, Va., and lived in Blountville for 50 years, where she and her husband, Paul, owned and operated Mullins Auto Supply Inc.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Cora Ratliff; her husband of 61 years, Paul Mullins; grandson, Blake Tackett; and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, June Premo and husband Paul of Johnson City and Carole Tacket and husband Jim of Blountville, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Hollon and husband Mike of Maryville, Tenn., Bill Kilgore III of Maryville, Jimmy Tackett and wife Sharon of Kingsport, Tenn., and Cyndi Tackett of Atlanta; three great-grandchildren, Emily Hollon, Bill Kilgore IV and Ali Kilgore; one great-great-grandson, Brandon Hager; several stepgrandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Ratliff and husband Reual of Grundy; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2008, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Clay Austin officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Tri-Cities Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
