Penny Compton Miller, age 71, of Shortts Gap, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Raysal, WV and was the daughter of the late Buskil Keene and Myrtle Cooper Varney.
She was a life long resident of the area and was a former bus driver for Buchanan County Public Schools. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Archie T. Compton, III; and four brothers, Grat, Roger, Troy, and Harold Keene.

Funeral services for Penny Compton Miller will be conducted Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 12pm at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Virginia with Rev. Dennis Wimmer and Rev. Hobart Kennedy officiating. Interment will follow at the Compton Family Cemetery on Compton Mountain. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
