Stella Compton, 94 years of age, of Pilgrims Knob, VA, passed away on February 6, 2025, at her daughter's home in Bent Mountain, VA. Born October 24, 1930, in Pilgrims Knob, VA, she was the daughter of Whitten Keen and Julie Church Keen.
Stella was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved gardening, canning, cooking, sewing, and reading. She always put her family before herself. She was a woman of deep faith and unwavering devotion to the Lord. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and decisions.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband George C. Perry, sons Donald Ray Compton, Perry Gene Compton and Ronnie Page Compton, brother Perry Keen, sisters Carmie Keen, Elvie Underwood, Tessie Dunford, Lou Emma Payne, Anna Bell Keen, and Ruth Viars and Yvonne Harrison, and great granddaughter Bridgette Compton.
