Perry (Gene) Compton, 52, of Bent Mountain, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, George Perry Compton and a brother, Donald Ray Compton. Gene was a former employee with the City of Salem's Electrical Department.
Surviving are his son, Matthew G. Compton of Bent Mountain; mother, Stella K. Compton of Pilgrams Knob, Va.; sister, Wanda Pritt and husband Charles of Bent Mountain; brother, Ronnie Page and wife Carol of Pilgrams Knob, Va.; several nieces and nephews; half-brothers, Kenneth Keen and wife Nancy, Danny Keen and wife Marie, and Perry Keen; half-sisters, Lakia Roberts and husband Sammy, Gaye Prater, and Trula Compton and husband Charles.
