Ellen Marie Meadows, age 87 of Cedar Bluff, VA passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021. She was born December 18, 1933 at Keen Mountain, VA and was the daughter of the late Boyd and Edgar Bucklen Rife. She attended Harvest Outreach Ministries and enjoyed quilting and canning.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Meadows; one son, Jackie Meadows; one sister, Madgie Vandyke; two brothers, Estil Rife and Homer Rife; infant sister, Leona Rife.
Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Jill Wood of Richlands, VA and Jo Ellen Meadows and husband Jody of Cedar Bluff, VA; five grandchildren, Jamie Meadows and wife Lori, Michael Meadows, Whitney Price and husband Anthony, Brittany Wood and Zachary Wood; three great-grandchildren, Emma Meadows, Brantley Meadows, and Emma Street; one sister, Creata Horn of Claypool Hill, VA; sister-in-law, Virginia Rife of Claypool Hill, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends after 12 noon Friday, September 3rd at Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. John Muncy officiating. Burial will follow in the Esau Rife Cemetery at Keen Mountain, VA. Pallbearers will be Jamie Meadows, Zachary Wood, Michael Meadows, Anthony Price, Brennan Dye, and Robert Gillespie.
