Delinda Lou Proffitt Rowe, 55 years of Oakwood, VA, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 at Clinch Valley Medical Center.
Born October 27, 1965 in Richlands, VA, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Proffitt and Vina Horn Barker.
Delinda attended Southwest Virginia Community College, and was an employee of Food City of Vansant, VA
for the past thirty three years. She enjoyed watching Netflix, camping, spending time with her family and was of the Christian faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Survivors include her loving husband of twenty-nine years Ira Charles Rowe of Oakwood, VA; daughter Ashley Marie Rowe and fiancé Preston Lloyd of Richlands, VA; son Alex Payton Rowe of Charlottesville, VA; sisters Annette Matney Dye and husband Jessie of Swords Creek, VA, Lisa Dotson and husband Jimmy of Fenton, MI; brothers Steve Proffitt and wife Pattie of Whitewood, VA, Robby Proffitt of Fenton, MI.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Hudson Parker Lloyd and Caroline Elizabeth Lloyd, several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral service for Delinda Lou Proffit Rowe will be held at the Shortridge-Ramey Funeral Home Chapel of Keen Mountain, VA, with Reverend Shawn Rife officiating. Burial will follow in the Crockett Rife Cemetery on Spruce Pine Road in Pilgrims Knob, VA.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
