Gallie Horn Jr, 71 years of age of Pilgrims Knob, VA, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Born July 21, 1949 in Pilgrims Knob, VA, he was the son of the late Gallie Horn, Sr. and Viola Bucklen Horn.
Jr. was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA and Loggy Bottom Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed the sunrise, sunset, hunting, fishing, bird watching and talking to people. He never met a stranger. But more than anything, he loved his family and his grandsons. Our comfort is in knowing he has a new body that will never suffer anymore. He is running the Streets of Gold with new lungs and new knees. Jr. Was greatly loved and will be missed by many. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, papaw, brother and uncle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Helen, Vina, Inez, brothers James, Ralph and Reverend Lawrence Horn, and brother-in-law Danny Smith.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-eight years Wilma Stilwell Horn of Pilgrims Knob, VA; daughter Emily Vandyke and husband Dewayne of Pounding Mill, VA; son Joey Horn and wife Alisha of Tazewell, VA; sisters Violet Rife and husband Kermit, June Keen of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Nina Whited and husband Roger of Raven, VA, Dora Gregg and Wanda Horn both of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Linda Proffitt of Swords Creek, VA, Virginia Anthony of Maryland, Susie Smith and Peggy McGinnis and husband Larry all of Pounding Mill, VA; brother Ricky Horn and wife Hilda of Elizabethton, TN.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Tyler Vandyke, Easton Horn, and Weston Horn; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Gallie Horn, Jr., will be held at the Loggy Bottom Pentecostal Church, Friday, November 20, 2020 at 12:00 noon with Reverend Robert Deel and Reverend Phillip Hale officiating. Burial will follow in the Ferrell Cemetery on Horn Mountain Road in Pilgrims Knob, VA.
Due to COVID-19 and regulations set forth by the Governor of Virginia, and for the safety of everyone, we ask everyone to practice social distancing and wear a mask.
Active pallbearers will be Don Honaker, Lonnie Honaker, Jack Honaker, Allen Keen, James Rife, Bradley Stilwell, Andrew Stilwell, Ricky Horn, Larry McGinnis, Richard Horn, Terry Horn and Willie Horn.

The family will receive friends at the Loggy Bottom Pentecostal Church, Thursday, November 19th after 6:00 p.m. with evening service to be held at 7:00 p.m.
