Phyllis L. Fields, 75 years of age Athens, OH, passed away at Holzer Medical Center,
Gallipolis, Ohio on Monday March 6, 2017.
Born February 21, 1942, in Pilgrims Knob, VA. she was the daughter
of the late Walter Lee Clifton and Alice Mavis Ratliff Clifton.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a
brother Robert Clifton, maternal grandparents Orson Ratliff and Lydia Rife Ratliff, paternal grandparents, Luther Ellis Clifton and Vicie Vandyke Clifton, a niece Bobbi Jean Clifton, mother-in-law Annabelle Davis, father-in-law Lawrence Fields and nephew Robert Whitt.
She was retired from TS Trim in Athens, and a member of Albany
Eastern Star #558. A loving wife, mother, sister and aunt.
Phyllis is survived by her husband Basil Fields of Athens, OH; daughters
Charlotte Kay of Chillicothe, and Sylvania Fields of Athens;
a sister JoAnn Whitt of Pilgrims Knob, VA., and a sister in law
Billie Jean Clifton of Albany, Ohio; brother-in-law Lester Fields of Albany, OH.
nephew Terry Whitt, great nieces Grace Lee Whitt and Stephany Whitt.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 between the hours of 4-8 P.M. with Eastern Star Services 6;00 P.M. at Bigony-Jordan Funeral Home, Albany, Ohio,
Mrs. Fields will be moved to Bethany Baptist Church of Pilgrims Knob, VA, for her funeral service Friday, March 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Troy Lester officiating. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery of Pilgrims Knob, VA.
Active pallbearers will be her family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the Bethany Baptist Church Friday after 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m.

Thank you for being the most perfect mother & teaching me to love & give unconditionally....If I can be half the amazing woman you have been the last 75 yrs I will be so blessed..Thank you Lord for choosing me to be her daughter..I know I have let you both down at times & for that I will forever apologize...I hope I have made you proud in the woman you molded me to be Mommy....You finally get to walk those beautiful streets of Gold & rejoice with Mamaw & all our loved ones who had gone on before, most of all I am so envious of you being in the arms of our precious Lord as he welcomes you with the most beautiful wings an Angel could have....I love you...
