JANESVILLE - Bessie E. Stone, age 77, of 1700 S. River Rd., died Sun. April 10, 1988 in Mercy Hospital. The former Bessie Troon, daughter of Stephen and Willa Bartle Troon, was born Oct. 13, 1910 in Magnolia. She was a Janesville resident most all her life and worked at Parker Pen for many years. She married Percy Stone on July 28, 1933 in Janesville; he died May 13, 1980. She was a member of Cargill United Methodist Church.
She is survived by 1 sister, Connie Olds of Sun City, CA and 8 nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2.30 p.m. Wed. at the Cargill United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Sumwalt officiating. Burial will be the Milton Lawns Memorial Park. The Schneider Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
