The son of THOMAS & MARY (HARMON) SHEAFFE, he was baptized at St. Dunston's, Kent, England. On May 30, 1586, he married ELIZABETH TAYLOR. Their daughter, MARGARET (SHEAFFE) KITCHELL was my ancestor. Elizabeth died in 1598, and he married second, Joanne Jordan around 1602 in Cranbrook, co. Kent, England.
Edmund Sheaffe's will, dated November 1, 1625, was proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Canterbury on December 11, 1626. The will mentions his wife, Joanne, and son-in-law (my ancestor), ROBERT KITCHELL.

Sources include Lineal ancestry of Capt James Cory (Kitchell lineage), ancestry of Amaziah Hall & Betsey Baldwin (Sheafe genealogy), London England Extracted Parish Records & New England Marriage Records. Assuming these records are accurate the Oct 17, 1610 marriage was the 3rd marriage for the both of them. As his 2nd wife, Edmund married the widow Jane Downe on Aug 15, 1599. Joan Jordan's 2nd husband after John Kitchell was Richard Lake. Edmund & Joan are my 10th Great Grandparents so I'm hoping I got this right.
