During the Revolution Bildad Hubbell saw military service, sometimes with Aaron, or Elnathan or Lemuel Hubbell, and once with Joseph, according to records. In 1780 he served with Captain Hutchins' company, and in 1782 with Capt. Armstrong's militia company. He also served with Col. Walbridge's regiment which went to assist the sheriff in Windham County "over the mountain." In 1795 he owned 145 acres of land in Cambridge, Vt.
