Paid homage to Edward I for his English fiefs. Became warden of Carlisle Castle and joined Edward I in his war with John de Baloil about 1295. Paid homage to Edward I as King of Scotland 8/23/1296 and thenceforward lived in England (The concise dictionary of national biography. Part 1 : from the beginnings tom 1900.
