Geneva Daily Times, October 30, 1919:
Dundee, Mrs. Livonia Gulick. Dundee, Oct. 30: This afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home of her son, Dwight Gulick, in Seneca Street, occurred the funeral of Mrs. Livonia Gulick, aged 90 years, who died on Tuesday after an illness of about one month. Mrs. Gulick was born in Pulteney, Steuben county, March 23, 1829, her maiden name being Miss Livonia Doubleday. Her marriage to Egbert Gulick, whose death occurred some years ago, took place when she was a young woman. A large part of her long life was spent in this county, many years at Starkey station where her son conducted a hotel. About five years ago she came with the family to this village. An unusual circumstance is that under the same roof with Mrs. Gulick resided four generations of her descendants. These were the son, Dwight Gulick, his daughter, Mrs. Celia Rogers, a great grand daughter, Mrs. Margaret Plaisted and a great great grand daughter, Frances Plaisted. Mrs. Gulick was a member of the Presbyterian church and the pastor, Rev. Dr. Hollock officiated at the funeral. Mrs. Gulick is survivied by two sons, Dwight above mentioned, and Elisha Gulick, of Elmira; two grand daughters and two grand sons, one great grand daughter, and one great great grand daughter. Burial was made in Hillside cemetery.
