Married twice (Severance, pg. 104)

Killed in Kansas by a horse thief (Severance). This is corroborated by an article in the Stewart Clan Magazine, 1931-1932, vol. IX, no. 10, pg. 222.

The Ancerty.com Montana Pioneer Families Family Tree claims he died in Requah, Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma. This tree suggests a wife, Jane Taylor, and children Laura Augusta, Adelaide H., and Cornelia B. Severance has children Augusta and Adalaide. So despite the lack of sourcers on the Ancetry tree the names of the children and the Truxton birthplace it claims all seem correct, as does his marriage in Genesee County, Michigan, the same county his father is buried in. The validity of the above is born out by an article from The Stewart Clan magazine, vol. IX, no. 10, 1931-1932, pg. 222.
