ASHINGTON TERRACE--Vila Marie Weir Allred, age 70, our beloved mother, sister and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 1995, at her son's home in Idaho. She was born December 4, 1925 in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Thomas H. and Gladys Bosworth Weir, both deceased. Her education took place in several school located in Wyoming and Utah, graduating from Ogden High. She married Elton R. Allred September 26, 1942 and their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 17, 1954. He died November 2, 1994. She was a member of the Latter-day Saints Washington Terrace 3rd Ward, serving in numerous church positions. She was a homemaker, dedicating her life to family and friends and finding great joy in compassionate service. She was member of the Utah Trail and Endurance Riders Horse Club and the Thousand Trails Travel Club. She enjoyed dancing, music, traveling, and writing poetry. She is survived by her children, Larry R. Allred (Karen) of West Point; Glen R. Allred (Tami) of Rigby, Idaho; Michael W. Allred (Kathy) of Roy; Kathryn M. Dobson (Leonard) of Brownsburg, Indiana; Susan K. Vining (Terry) of Kaysville; Raelene Worsham (Jeff) of Ogden; and Debra A. Fisher (Charles) of Ogden; 31 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Ada Wade (Clyde) of Ogden; Evelyn Thompson (Bob) of Bountiful; Harold J. Weir (Margene) of Salt Lake City; Blaine Weir (Betty) of Ogden; and Thomas R. Weir (Diane) of Kaysville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton; her sister, LaNae; and her grandson, Parker. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m, at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park.
