Florence R. Johansen, 69, of Caldwell, died Friday, July 7, 1995 at a Boise hospital. Mrs. Johansen was born February 5, 1926 at Shelley, Idaho the second child of Wilford H. and Ireta Winward Stoddard. She was reared and educated in Shelley, graduating from high school in 1945. She married Jack Johansen on July 28, 1945 at Burley, Idaho, and the couple resided in Pocatello and Mountain Home before settling in Caldwell in 1956. In the 1940s Florence worked for the Challenge Creamery at Burley and did baby-sitting prior to her retirement. She was an active member of the Caldwell First Ward, LDS Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jackson and John Johansen, both of Caldwell; seven brothers, six sisters, two grandchildren, Stephanie and John Bettencourt, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, in 1992, her parents, one brother, one sisters, and two infant children (uncited obituary posted on findagrave.com).
