Elsie Kellos Robinson, age 93, died of cancer on Sunday, September 11, 2011.
She was born in Ogden, Utah on October 29, 1917, a daughter of John and Carrie Kellos, Norwegian immigrants, and spent most of her life in Ogden.
She married Anson C. "Tobe" Robinson on October 21, 1941. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. She was a graduate of Ogden High School and many Civil Service on-the-job-training classes. Elsie and Tobe were the proud parents of one son, Scott A. Robinson.
Elsie and Tobe loved square dancing for many years during which they made many dear, life-long friends. She had been active in the LDS Church having served as secretary to two stake presidencies and three bishoprics. She was also secretary of the Relief Society, Sunday School and Genealogical Societies. Her most recent assignment was in church extracting. She had served in the compassionate service for two years and had spent many years as a visiting teacher.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Mrs. Dorothy (Elwood) Kellos as well as several generations of nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her dear husband and son, her parents, one sister and six brothers.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
Interment, Ben Lomond North Ogden Cemetery.
Elsie's family thanks the staff of Mountain Ridge Assisted Living Center for the care and kindness provided to her while she was a resident. Also, her family extends their deep appreciation to Hospice For Utah. Special personal thanks are extended to Brett and Maggie, who were so kind to Elsie and her family during Elsie's final days.
